ACTIVITIES FOR OUR COUNCIL

 

Knight of Columbus Sunday

Members of our Council and the CWL are recognized for their service to our Church community during a mid-October Mass.

 

Advent and Year End Celebrations

Two special evenings with a 6:00 Mass followed by dinner help us honour one another and our wives.

 

Major Degrees

We sponsor several First Degree Knights during the year as they attain their Major Degrees at St. Joseph's High School in Edmonton.

 

Charaties Appeal Tickets

We sell our share of these tickets with our proceeds being donated to Catholic Social Services Sign of Hope Campaign.

 

Pennies from Heaven

Annual contributions to the Pennies campaign delivered by our Grand Knight at the annual Knights Convention in the Spring.

Members contribute on a monthly basis as they enter various Knight's meetings.

 

Beacon Newsletter

The monthly "Beacon"keeps all members up to date on Council activities.

 

Father McGivney Guild

Our Council is involved in the Father McGivney Guild, constantly praying for the canonization of our founding Father.

 

Basketball

For many years our Council has been the sponsor of the Knights of Columbus Mini-Basketball program in St. Albert.

 

School Bibles

Our Council provides an annual donation the the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Division for the purchase of bibles for Grade 4 students.

 

Support for the Youth Programs of our Parish

Our Council supports the Parish Youth Coordinator's programs with both financial and volunteer assistance.
